Abstract

In this paper, a neodymium-doped fiber laser (NDFL) was integrated with Ti3C2Tx-PVA SA to generate Q-switched operations, pertaining mainly for material processing, biomedical research, and optical communications. The Ti3C2Tx-PVA SA was fabricated by using a solution casting technique, left to dry in the petri dish for 48 h and then secured inside the cavity by fitting it in between two fiber ferules. The NDFL operated at the center wavelength of 1088 nm with maximum repetition rate of 50 kHz. The attained pulse energy and peak power were 5.77 nJ and 3.17 mW, respectively. © 2023 Elsevier GmbH
