Abstract

In the title compound, [Mn(NCS)(2)(C13H19N3O)(H2O)], the Schiff base acts as an N,N',N ''-tridentate ligand, forming two five-membered chelating rings with the Mn-II atom. The distorted octahedral geometry around the metal atom is completed by two cis-positioned N-bound thiocyanate ligands and one water molecule. In the crystal, adjacent molecules are linked through O-H center dot center dot center dot O, O-H center dot center dot center dot S and C-H center dot center dot center dot S hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure. An intramolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond also occurs.
