Abstract

Open Access (OA) is transforming the landscape of scientific publishing by democratizing access to research findings and fostering greater collaboration across disciplines. This paper explores the impact of OA on the traditional publishing model, highlighting the benefits of increased accessibility, the challenges of funding, and the evolving expectations of researchers and institutions. By examining case studies and current trends, we analyze how OA is driving innovation, enhancing transparency, and contributing to the overall advancement of science. The discussion extends to policy implications and the role of various stakeholders in supporting sustainable OA practices. Ultimately, this paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how Open Access is shaping the future of scientific publishing and its potential to facilitate more inclusive and impactful research dissemination.
