The title compound, C(16)H(16)N(2)O(6)center dot C(2)H(5)OH, was synthesized from 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoylhydrazide and 2,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde in ethanol. The compound is not planar, with the two aromatic planes of the two aromatic rings twisted by 15.6 ( 1)degrees. The hydroxy groups are involved in both intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O and intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N and O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds and a C-H center dot center dot center dot O interaction also occurs.
