Abstract

A pseudo random number generator (PRNG), also referred to as a deterministic random bit generator (DRGB) is an algorithm utilized to generate a sequence of numbers which have approximate properties pertaining to those of sequences in random numbers. The current PRNGs can be exemplified as linear congruence generators, inverse congruence generators as well as PRNGs that are based on chaotic systems which have benefits like pseudorandom behavior, sensitivity to initial conditions, ergodicity and high complexity. Accordingly, this paper presents a new mode of PRNG sequences by combining microfluidic (MF) techniques with hyper-chaotic systems of n-dimension. The proposed system offers complex behavior, wide distribution, and plausible ergodicity. This interdisciplinary technique combines engineering, physics, and mathematics to create a random sequence. The mixture of the four outcome sequences generated from the 4 dimensions (4D) hyperchaotic system and the Fisher-Yates Shuffle algorithm is used to generate the PRNG. The algorithmic process is designed to rearrange the sequence elements in a random order. Statistical analysis of the NIST test, key sensitivity, auto-correlation and cross-correlation, and entropy are also presented that play a significant role in demonstrating the PRNG methods.
