Plants include a wide range of biologically active compounds and metabolites that significantly influence the production of nanomaterials. These compounds hold substantial importance in the advancement of therapeutic strategies for many diseases. Nanotechnological-based methodologies are being developed to enhance the effectiveness of drugs and organic products derived from herbs and plants. These approaches aim to achieve this by facilitating direct transport to the intended target and controlling the release of the drug. Among various health conditions and treatments, the process of wound healing is a complex phenomenon that has a significant impact on the lives of patients. There are many wound-healing chemical-based medicines available, which are often in the form of ointment, gel, or powder, but some of them have adverse effects. The utilization of plantbased nanomedicines in wound healing has garnered significant attention due to their biological compatibility, abundance in nature, and favorable physiochemical characteristics. This review focuses on the many plantbased nanomedicines and other nanomaterials and their significance in the process of wound healing.
