Nowadays, addiction to internet and social media is a global issue. Due to long time sitting and lack of physical and social activities, addicted individuals will experience different types of pain. In the young age population, the negative effect of internet addiction not only will affect their health, but it can also affect their academic achievements. Based on the importance of this global issue, this paper tried to demonstrate the available evidences regarding internet addiction, social and physical pain and its relationship with academic achievement of secondary school students among recent published papers available in Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science and Google Scholar. The findings of this paper showed that, early management of student behavior at school and also at home, would be the most practical solution to prevent from this issue. © Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
