Abstract

An erbium-doped fiber-ring laser (EDFL) with more than 50 nm of continuous wavelength tuning was achieved and analyzed through a numerical approach. An angle-tuned Fabry-Perot etalon was incorporated in the laser cavity as the wavelength-selective element. The numerical values are in close agreement with the experimental results.
