The phenomena of buoyant Marangoni natural convection in a right-angled trapezoidal enclosure filled with water-based nanofluids have been studied numerically. The left vertical wall of the trapezoidal cavity is heated uniformly, the right inclined wall is cooled, and the top and bottom walls are insulated (adiabatic). The finite element method (FEM) is implemented to solve the non-dimensional governing equations. The investigation has been done for different values of parameters: the aspect ratio of the enclosure, (Formula presented.) Ar (Formula presented.) the nanoparticles volume fraction, (Formula presented.) the Marangoni numbers, (Formula presented.) Ma bf (Formula presented.) and the Rayleigh numbers, (Formula presented.) Ra bf (Formula presented.). © 2020 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
