Abstract

Differential cross sections, integrated cross sections and ionization cross sections for electron scattering on the metastable level 23S of helium are calculated at intermediate energies and compared with experimental measurements and other theoretical calculations. The method used is the coupled-channels optical method with an ab initio complex polarization potential.
