Abstract
Reported here (Table II) are the results of screening of Malayan plants from 82 families, representing 169 genera and 226 species, for presence of alkaloids, saponins, and steroids and triterpenes. Results of ensuing detailed chemical investigations on some plants are summarized (Table I), and the potentials of others discussed. © 1968, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
